The main way of helping does reside in stopping CSO, But there are other ways of helping as well. The first and most important way, is cleaning up the Beaches and just random trash because that trash gets in the ocean as well as the trash on the beach. There are cleanups throughout the year for this. You could also donate to orginizations such as clear water that attempt to take companies to court for pollution.

CSO the river killer

CSO or combined sewage overflow is caused when it rains and there is too much water for the sewers to process so they send it into the river, and then the dirty water kills the fish. This is one very bad thing that is happening to the waterways. One way to stop it is to catch the water with rain barrels or something like that.You could also plant some plants which would absorb the water.Another way to help is by lowering the amount of excess water from your home.

        The newyork waterways are in danger and have been for a very long time. This blog will be about helping conserve them and the ways they are getting hurt. These ways are  mostly the fault of big companies, mostly industrial but some of it is fertilizer runoff, Combined sewage overflow boats and ports and some other reasons. Stopping all of these things is important. I ask for you to help in any way you can.
